H.E. Sukhbold Sukhee, Ambassador of Mongolia to the Republic of Korea, and embassy staff visited the Chungbuk National University headquarters and international exchange office on October 23.

Amb. Sukhbold Sukhee and Chungbuk National University's Director of International Exchange Office Ok Kwang discussed management of Mongolian government-sponsored scholarship students and ways to enhance educational cooperation.

This visit was arranged to strengthen the cooperative relationship between Chungbuk National University and the Mongolian government and to share the achievements of the current Mongolian government-sponsored foreign scholarship program.

Attending the visit were Chungbuk National University's Director of International Exchange Office Ok Kwang, Manager Kwon O-in, Team Leader of International Exchange Team 2 Jeong So-young, along with H.E. Sukhbold Sukhee, Ambassador of Mongolia to the Republic of Korea; L. Khasherdene, Consul General and Minister-Counselor; Ts. Tumurchuluun, Attaché; and staff from the International Exchange Office.

The delegation met directly with Mongolian government-sponsored scholarship students currently enrolled to offer encouragement and review their academic adaptation progress and support systems.

Subsequently, during a meeting with Director Ok Kwang, they discussed specific cooperation plans, including expanding the scale of scholarship student dispatch, strengthening tailored support, and increasing joint research and academic exchanges.

Director Ok Kwang stated, “We expect this visit from the Mongolian Embassy to further strengthen educational cooperation between our two countries,” adding, “We will continuously improve the support system to ensure Mongolian government-sponsored scholarship students can focus on their studies stably.”

Chungbuk National University has been collaborating with the Mongolian government to host government-sponsored scholarship students since 2024. Currently, approximately 47 Mongolian scholarship students are studying at the university.
