The Ministry of Environment and the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute announced that the “2025 ESG-ECO EXPO KOREA” will be held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul from September 24 to 26.
Launched in 2005 and now in its 21st year, the Eco Expo has been organized as a festival where consumers, businesses, and the government come together. Its aim is to strengthen the connection between the supply and demand of environmental technologies and industries while encouraging the public to practice green living.
This year’s Eco Expo features a total of 236 companies and organizations, with 439 exhibition spaces prepared. Compared to last year, the exhibition has been expanded and divided from two halls into four, enhancing visitors’ engagement and immersion.
In particular, the Green Consumption & Lifestyle Hall features a special space where visitors can experience all aspects of eco-friendly living, centered on clothing, food, housing, and leisure, including items such as clothing accessories, vegetarian foods, heat pump equipment, and refill stations.
In addition, the Plastic Resource Circulation Hall offers a comprehensive view of the collection, sorting, recycling, and material recovery processes of plastics, while also showcasing technologies from related companies, such as biodegradable plastics and eco-friendly packaging materials.
As a side event, the “ESG Forum” will be held on September 25, where experts from various fields related to eco-friendly management will gather to discuss solutions under the theme “How Korean companies should respond to global environmental regulations.”
In addition, a “Large-Medium-Small Green Cooperation Presentation” will be newly introduced this year, aimed at exploring new opportunities for collaboration among green sector companies by sharing success stories of open innovation strategies between major corporations and startups led by the younger generation.
