The Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Korea held the annual cultural and gastronomic event “Belarusian Cuisine Day” on September 23, 2025, organized jointly with Belarusian diaspora in Korea.
The main audience of the event was representatives of the South Korean student community from among the students of the Russian Language Department at Chungbuk National University, local cultural and public figures, as well as the Korean media.

According to the established tradition, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Korea H.E. Andrew Chernetsky addressed the assembled guests with a welcoming speech.
In his remarks, the head of the diplomatic mission emphasized the importance of preserving the traditions and values of each state, told the audience about the rich gastronomic culture of Belarus, and noted the positive development of Belarusian-Korean cooperation in various fields.
During the event, the guests took part in a master class on making “Draniki” potato pancakes held by representatives of the Belarusian diaspora, and also tasted the main dishes of Belarusian cuisine.

The meeting was complemented by a Belarusian tea ceremony, during which Ambassador Andrew Chernetsky told and demonstrated to the guests all the subtleties and traditions of tea ceremony in Belarus.
The event was accompanied by a presentation and distribution of program booklets prepared by Belarusian mission about the gastronomic features, culture, natural and architectural wealth of Belarus.
