Prime Minister Kim meets with Mongolian Deputy Prime Minister Uchral

Exchanged views on strengthening Korea-Mongolia relations

Prime Minister Kim Min-seok met with Mongolian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development Nyam-Osor Uchral at the Government Complex Seoul on September 23. The two leaders exchanged views on strengthening Korea-Mongolia relations and cooperation.

 

Prime Minister Kim welcomed the visit of Deputy Prime Minister Uchral and the Mongolian delegation to Korea, which marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and Mongolia. He expressed appreciation for the deep understanding between the two countries and the development of bilateral relations.

 

 

Prime Minister Kim praised the successful hosting of the "Korea-Mongolia Core Minerals and Mining Investment Forum" in Seoul on September 22. He welcomed the tangible results of cooperation between the two countries in various areas, including supply chains, trade, health, and the environment, and expressed his hope that cooperation between the two countries will continue to strengthen in the future.

 

Prime Minister Kim expressed his hope that the "Korea-Mongolia Rare Metals Cooperation Center," scheduled to open in November, will play a significant role in supply chain cooperation between the two countries.

 

He also expressed his hope that the ongoing negotiations for the "Korea-Mongolia Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA)" will accelerate soon.

 

Prime Minister Kim also requested Mongolia's cooperation and support for the South Korean government's Korean Peninsula policy.

 

Deputy Prime Minister Uchral expressed his strong welcome for cooperation with South Korea in various areas, including key minerals, investment, and people-to-people exchanges.

 

He requested to work toward strengthening cooperation that benefits the peoples of both countries, including the Korea-Mongolia Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA), based on active high-level exchanges.
