The Dominican Republic–Korea Business Forum: Strategic Horizons – Exploring a Land of Opportunities for Korean Companies in the Dominican Republic, will be held on September 22, 2025, at the VOCO Myeongdong Hotel, Seoul, the Embassy of the Dominican Republic said.
This high-level forum will serve as a platform to strengthen trade and investment ties between our two nations, bringing together Korean entrepreneurs, investors, and decision-makers with leading Dominican representatives.
The program will include a keynote address by Mrs. Biviana Riveiro, Executive Director of ProDominicana, a panel of success stories moderated by H.E. Angie Shakira Martínez Tejera, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Dominican Republic to the Republic of Korea, and a networking session to foster concrete business opportunities.
The event marks the first official initiative of Her Excellency Angie Shakira Martínez Tejera, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Dominican Republic to the Republic of Korea, who recently presented her Letters of Credence to President Lee Jae-myung.

Ambassador Angie Martínez emphasized the importance of this moment: “The Dominican Republic is open to Korea as a reliable and strategic partner, with an attractive business climate and clear rules that provide legal certainty for investment. We want Korean companies to see our country as an ideal place to grow and expand in the region.”
The career diplomat and newly appointed Dominican Ambassador in Seoul, added: “Our nation represents a strategic destination for Korean enterprises, thanks to its privileged location, skilled workforce, and competitive incentives across dynamic sectors such as free zones, tourism, renewable energy, and real estate.
“At the same time, the Dominican Republic is diversifying its production into high-potential industries with proven momentum, including semiconductors, biomedical sciences, mining, technology, and advanced manufacturing, positioning itself as a regional hub for innovation and investment.”
