Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992, we have been developing ties with Tajikistan, which is at the heart of the Great Silk Road and is home to the Pamir Mountains, known as the “Roof of the World.” It is also a land of historical heritage, where the monk Hyecho from the Silla era left valuable records during his pilgrimage.

Both sides agreed on the need to make consistent efforts to further develop mutually beneficial relations, as well as to work closely together for the successful hosting of the “Republic of Korea–Central Asia” summit, scheduled to take place in our country next year.”
