The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Aug. 26 with PTC to accelerate smart manufacturing innovation and promote the wider adoption of U.S.-developed industrial technologies in Korea, as part of AMCHAM’s ongoing “Buy America” campaign.

The signing ceremony, held at the Conrad Seoul Hotel, was attended by James Heller, Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul. His presence underscored the strategic significance of the partnership in deepening bilateral economic cooperation through digital transformation and industrial innovation.

Under the agreement, AMCHAM and PTC will cooperate in key areas including regulatory advocacy, supply chain optimization, and strategic engagement with Korean industry stakeholders.

The collaboration is expected to support PTC’s AI-driven solutions in gaining broader market access and contribute to productivity enhancement across Korea’s manufacturing sector in alignment with the government’s smart factory initiatives.

AMCHAM Chairman & CEO James Kim said, “PTC is a global leader in industrial digital transformation, and we are proud to welcome them as a key partner in AMCHAM’s ‘Buy America’ campaign.”

He added, “At AMCHAM, our mission is to serve as a bridge between the United States and Korea, fostering a business environment that drives innovation, investment, and long-term economic partnership. This MOU with PTC exemplifies the type of high-impact collaboration we aim to promote through our “Buy America” campaign. By strengthening the presence of leading U.S. technologies in Korea, we are helping both countries unlock new opportunities for sustainable growth, industrial advancement, and shared prosperity.”
