“Chhattisgarh is the growth engine of central India”

ICCK holds an event, titled “Chhattisgarh Investor Connect in Seoul”

“Chhattisgarh is the growth engine of central India and the Indian state offers friendly environment to Korean investors,” said Honorable Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai, at an investment seminar. Chhattisgarh is the 9th largest state of India with 135,000 square meters.

 

The Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ICCK) held the event, titled Chhattisgarh Investor Connect in Seoul” on August 27, 2025 at Lotte Hotel, jointly organized by the Government of Chhattisgarh (a provincial government in India) and the Embassy of India, Seoul.

 

 

Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh highlighted Chhattisgarh's potential as a prime business and investment destination, showcasing opportunities across sectors such as electrical & electronics, agro & food processing, textiles and garments, pharma and biotech, and aerospace, defense, & space technology.

 

Delivering remarks, Ramesh lyer, chairman of the ICCK, said, “Korea and India stand united in transforming these challenges into opportunities to strengthen our cooperation regarding mutual trust and share, building on more than 6 decades of friendship.”

 

He added, “I hope our two countries will continue to bolster practical cooperation in the economy, trade, infrastructure and defense, advancing for the mutually beneficial and future oriented partnership.

 


The event has provided a platform for Korean investors, business leaders, and policymakers to engage directly with Chhattisgarh’s government officials, explore investment-friendly policies, and learn about the state’s strategic advantages, including ease of doing business, skilled workforce, and abundant natural resources.
