In an effort to promote national exports, Kazakhstan participated in the Korea Import Fair 2025, held in Seoul from July 7 to 9.

The event, hosted by the Korea Importers Association (KOIMA) with the support of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), showcased the services of Air Astana and Scat Airlines as well as products from Maximus and chocolate by Lotte Rakhat.

In her opening remarks, KOIMA Chairperson Youn Young-mi emphasized the importance of expanding imports from friendly partner countries. She emphasized that this exhibition provides a unique opportunity for foreign companies to present their products in Korea and find potential partners.

The event brought together more than 200 companies from 40 countries, including participants from Europe, Asia, and Africa. The Kazakhstan booth attracted several hundred visitors and many Korean companies expressed strong interest in cooperation with Kazakh companies.

During the exhibition, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Nurgali Arystanov, KOIMA Chairperson Youn Young-mi, and National Assembly Member Seo Il-jun were presented Kazakh goods and discussed prospects for expanding the bilateral trade.

It should be noted that in 2024, the trade volume between Kazakhstan and Korea amounted to USD 3.1 billion, placing South Korea among the top 10 largest trading partners of Kazakhstan.
