(New Year Message)
Dear readers of the Diplomacy Journal,

On behalf of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Korea and myself, allow me to extend heartfelt congratulations on the upcoming year 2025. May it bring new achievements, strengthen mutual understanding, and become a time of fruitful development for all of us!

The outgoing year, 2024, was truly eventful and significant for Kyrgyz-Korean bilateral relations. The highlight of the year was the official visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, to the Republic of Korea from December 2 to 4, 2024. During this visit, meetings were held with the President of the Republic of Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Woo Won-shik, and the President of the Assembly and Chair of the Council of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), Ban Ki-moon.

A special mention should be made of the Kyrgyz-Korean Investment Dialogue. This event brought together leaders of prominent South Korean companies, including GS Neotek, Daewoo Engineering & Construction, LG, Lotte Corporation, KT&G, T-Way Air, Woojin Industrial Systems, and others. Through negotiations and the exchange of views, a solid foundation was laid for long-term cooperation. As a result of the visit, 26 bilateral documents were signed, covering a wide range of areas—from economy and investments to ecology and education. This package of agreements reflects the high level of mutual trust and a shared commitment to joint progress.

We now look to the future with confidence. In 2025, we anticipate the continuation of active dialogue at the highest level, as well as the expansion of trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian, and scientific-technical cooperation. Several events are planned that aim not only to strengthen existing ties but also to open new directions for partnership and innovation.

From the bottom of my heart, I wish you, dear readers, good health, prosperity, and success in the coming year! May 2025 be a time of mutual support and new opportunities that will strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Korea, inspiring us to continue our fruitful work for the benefit of our peoples.
