A total of 19 people, including ambassadors from 10 countries and their spouses, visited Gimpo and toured various places in Gimpo, including Aegibong and Jangneung, showing special interest in Gimpo's resources on June 27, 2025.

On this day, Gimpo City introduced its resources to the ambassadors from 10 countries, laying the groundwork for international exchange and economic diplomacy.

The ambassadors began with a rural experience activity at “Byeokkot Nongbu” in Haseong-myeon, exchanged greetings with Gimpo City Mayor Kim Byung-soo at Aegibong Peak, and then visited Jangneung, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site.

Mayor Kim explained Gimpo's overall vision, including the global cultural asset value of Aegibong, Gimpo City's tourism culture, and industry as it grows into an international city, appealing to the ambassadors about Gimpo's vision and value.

The ambassadors responded positively and expressed special interest in Gimpo. The ambassadors presented Mayor Kim Byung-soo with a plaque of appreciation to express their gratitude for the hospitality of Gimpo City.

Mayor Kim said, “The visit of the ambassadors from 10 countries was a valuable opportunity to promote Gimpo City's status and identity as a growing international city, beyond simply introducing the city. It will serve as a stepping stone for future cooperation with cities abroad,” and expressed his expectations, saying, “We will promote Gimpo's potential to the wider world and make it a city where opportunities come knocking.”

Meanwhile, this visit was part of Gimpo City's ongoing efforts to strengthen international exchange and economic diplomacy policies. Going forward, Gimpo City plans to further enhance its local diplomatic capabilities through sustained collaboration with various overseas cities.
