U.S.-Korea Cultural Exchange Exhibition to commemorate 72nd anniversary of the alliance in LA

By Diplomacy Journal Kayla Lee

In June this year, the U.S.-Korea Cultural Exchange Exhibition will be held at the Helen Keller Park Gallery in Los Angeles to commemorate the 72nd anniversary of the U.S.-ROK alliance.

The exhibition will bring together artists from Korea and the U.S. to paint peace with brushes and colors in a cultural diplomacy.

The event is co-organized by the World Peace Art Exhibition Organizing Committee (Damwha Chairman Lee Jon-young) and the Federation of Arts and Cultural Organizations of the Americas (Chairman Kim Jun-bae), and hosted by the Damwha Cultural Foundation and the World Culture Promotion Foundation.

Artists from all over the world are invited to participate, and their works will be submitted as high-quality photographs and printed on Western-style canvases locally. Artists who have difficulty traveling can easily participate, making it even more meaningful.

In addition, all participants will be presented the awards from the chairman of the Federation of Arts and Cultural Organizations of the Americas and the chairman of the World Culture Promotion Foundation in Korea, honoring both the status of artists and the meaning of cultural exchange.

Sponsoring organizations include the UN Journal, Diplomacy Journal, Citizen's Administration Newspaper, K-Culture, Monthly K-Folk Painting, Korea Culture, World Peace Art Exhibition Steering Committee, K-Culture Promotion Association, K-Folk Painting Research Institute, Korean Masters Association, Korean Buddhist Hall of Fame, the U.S. West Association of Photographers (ESTERN), and the Southwest Chapter of the Liberation Association of the United States.

The exhibition is expected to be more than just an art exhibition, but a stage for civil diplomacy to expand the cultural ties of the U.S.-Korea alliance and lead the globalization of Korean art.

The exhibition is also the 54th international exchange exhibition of the World Peace Art Exhibition Organizing Committee.

"Alliance through art, future through culture”

We look forward to your participation in the path of friendship between Korea and the United States.
