In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Korea-Qatar diplomatic relations

Acting President Han Duck-soo attended a concert by the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra in the capital, Seoul, marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Korea.

 

The event was organized by the Embassy of the State of Qatar in South Korea, in cooperation with the Goyang Culture Foundation.

 

 

Under the baton of by Maestro Wilson Ng and featuring world-renowned pianist Jae Hong Park, the orchestra performed a selection of international classical works, concluding with musical pieces drawn from Qatari heritage.

 

The concert was attended by Khalid Ebrahim Al-Hamar, ambassador of the State of Qatar to Korea, several South Korean ministers and officials, heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions, business leaders and representatives from Korean companies, as well as journalists, media professionals, and prominent public figures from various sectors.

 

The Qatari Embassy also hosted a photo exhibition in the reception hall of the National Theater of Korea, showcasing Qatar's rich cultural heritage, traditions, and customs. The exhibition highlighted the country's renaissance across various sectors, with a particular focus on culture and art.

 

 

The concert drew a remarkable audience and was met with high praise. Attendees expressed their admiration for the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra's powerful and exceptional performance.

 

Aimed at strengthening cultural ties and fostering mutual understanding between the two nations through music, the concert is part of a series of cultural events organized by the Qatari Embassy to commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Korea.

 

This special concert aims to strengthen cultural ties between the two countries through music. The orchestra will perform a selection of world classical pieces alongside works reflecting Qatar's musical heritage, the Embassy of Qatar in Seoul said.

 

This event is part of a series of cultural events marking the 50th anniversary of Qatar-Korea relations, which includes artistic performances, musical workshops, and cultural exchanges between artists from both countries.
