The President expressed his pleasure at the active high-level exchanges between the two countries and hoped that Korea and Australia, as similarly positioned countries with shared values, would continue to deepen communication and cooperation at all levels based on their 'Comprehensive Strategic Partnership' relationship.

Prime Minister Albanese praised President Yoon's leadership in promoting peace and prosperity in the region, and called on Australia and South Korea, as two of the region's leading allies, to work closely together and continue to strengthen the special solidarity between like-minded countries.

The two leaders welcomed the growing partnership between the two countries beyond traditional economic cooperation and into the areas of defense, defense industry and supply chain and economic security, and agreed to further expand cooperation in these areas, building on the strong trust between the two countries.

In this regard, President Yoon emphasized the willingness of Korean companies to participate in Australia's frigate acquisition program and invited the Australian side's interest in the project.
